Hiccups

I was working on Thanksgiving and shortly after lunch I felt something weird...Will had hiccups for the first time. It is such a crazy feeling but it has become a frequent thing for him. I'm hoping it isn't something that will bother him much once he is born.

1 Year Anniversary!

On November 8, 2009 Rusty and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary. I am so blessed to have been married to the love of my life for a whole year and I look forward to the many years to come!

We spent November 5-9 in New York City and it was wonderful! It was a little rough being so large and pregnant...I'm sure Rusty got tired of me saying I needed to sit and rest and that I wanted to go to bed early but he was completely understanding. We saw the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, went up in the Empire State Building and took a long walk through Central Park. We took the subway out to Coney Island to go to Nathan's for a world famous hot dog which I have to say was a little disappointing. We went to FAO Schwartz and bought William a couple things and visited Ground Zero and Fire Museum. We had lots of great food! The pizza is great and I love that you can always find a place to grab a piece...I also love the hot dog vendors on every street corner! On our anniversary we went and had massages which were wonderful! It was my first prenatal massage and I think I need one everyday! We had dinner at Del Frisco's which is our favorite, you can't beat their steaks and then went to ESPN Zone to watch the Cowboy game. It was a great and a wonderful trip!!!

Like Father Like Son

On September 3 we had our 4th sono. I just love being able to see my precious baby boy. Everything still looks great and he is one BIG boy! I've decided he is already so much like his daddy...he can't sit still for anything! He kicks, flips and turns all day long and everytime we try to get a good picture of him he swims out of the way.

William's heart looks good and he has a strong kick!!!

On our last sono we saw 4 chambers of the heart which was a huge relief. However, there are more that 4 parts to the heart and being that I see children with heart defects everyday at work I wanted a better look at the heart so I decided to have a fetal echo. Even though heart defects are very rare I see them all the time and I knew I would feel much better if I could see a normal, healthy heart. I am happy to report that William's heart looks great! It was such a beautiful site!

Last night after a long day at work I came home and took a warm bath to relax. I'm pretty sure William liked the bath because I felt him move for the first time! At first I wasn't sure if it was gas or what and then I realized it was my sweet baby boy! It was such an incredible feeling. God has blessed me so much!

It's a boy!

I'm now 17 weeks and today we went for sono #3. We saw 10 fingers and 10 toes, 4 heart chambers and were very happy to find out it's a boy!!! We are so excited! He is measuring in the 80th percentile so it looks like we are gonna have a big baby boy! It was so fun to watch him squirm and run from the camera. We can't wait to meet William David! We have another sono next month so we can see him again!

Pregnancy Cravings

For the most part I haven't had any weird cravings. I've craved fresh fruit for weeks...especially watermelon and cantaloupe but I love those so that's not weird. Unfortunately I haven't found a really good watermelon or cantaloupe. Bought another cantaloupe tonight so I'm hoping it's a good one. I've eaten tons of mexican food...that's not odd either...however I know I've eaten more than normal. Dairy Queen nachos are great for an after dinner snack. The craziest thing I've craved is ice cream. This many not sound weird but I've had ice cream four times so far and I don't even like ice cream. Gabby doesn't seem to mind my cravings...she always gets a bite. Below are pics of her and her first ice cream cone.

1 more week!

One week from today we go for sono #3 and should find out whether we are having a boy or a girl. I've always wanted 3 boys and then a girl cause I'm afraid I really don't know what to do with girls and I don't want to be a bad mom. However, the closer we get to finding out the more I realize that it really doesn't matter as long as our baby is healthy. Please pray with us for a healthy baby and please keep a precious little girl named Hannah in your prayers...she is very sick and needs our prayers.

Sono #2

Yesterday we went to the doctor for sono #2. Everything was great...nice strong heartbeat and we got to see baby kick it's legs! It was incredible! We also got more good news...Rusty's CF test came back and he is not a carrier!!! That means we don't have to worry about the baby having CF, such a huge relief! God is good and we are so blessed!

We're Having a Baby!!!

On May 5th we found out we are gonna have a baby! We were both so very excited and it was so hard not to tell anyone. Somehow we kept quiet until Mother's Day when we told our families and then our friends. Today was our first sono and it was amazing. Baby is good, nice strong heartbeat, 153bpm. To see that tiny baby and that tiny heart beating just made it so much more real. Baby is due Jan 12!

Honeymoon in Maui

For our honeymoon Rusty and I spent a week in Maui...it was wonderful and we didn't want to come home. We rode a bike down a volcano (probably won't do that again) took a helicopter tour over the island which was beautiful, drove the Road to Hana and spent lots of time relaxing on the beach and at the pool.

Our Wedding

Rusty and I were married on November 8, 2008. The ceremony was outside his parents house at sunset. Rusty and his groomsmen rode in on a fire truck while my bridesmaids and I rode in on the horse and carriage. Our nieces and nephews were the flowergirls and ring bearers. The wedding was perfect! When the wedding was over we walked up the hill, through the trees that were lit with candles to a huge tent to celebrate with our family and friends.

The Proposal

On July 5, 2008 Rusty and I got on the SeaDoo and went for a ride like we'd done many times before. We ran into some friends in their boat and he told them we were going to get gas and we'd be right back. We went over and filled up and on the way back when we were somewhere between the dock and our friend's boat Rusty just stopped. Me still not having a clue what was going on asked him why he stopped...he looked at me like I was crazy and finally minutes later I looked up at the dock and saw his nieces and nephew holding a sign that said "Will you be our aunt?" and then they flipped it over and it said "Will you marry me?" There were tears in my eyes, I was speechless and I kissed him. As I kissed him fireworks went off and I heard all of his family and friends yelling, screaming and clapping. I think I eventually said yes and he untied the ring from his swimsuit and gave it to me. It was absolutely perfect!!!
