Time Flies When You're Having Fun!!!

I can't believe how fast time flies. 5 months have gone by since my last post and my baby boy is growing way too fast!!! I've got to get better at posting...he's just keeping me so busy!!! :)

4 Months

At 4 months Will weighed 16lbs! He wore #3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes! He also was already rolling over both ways!

5 Months

Will weighed 17lbs and 12oz! He wore #3 diapers and 6-9 month clothes. He started eating cereal, got his first swing and his first swimming pool, got in the lake for the first time, had his first boat ride and started army crawling!

6 Months

My sweet boy weighed 19lbs and 6 oz and was 27 1/4 inches long! He is still in #3 diapers and 6-12 month clothes. He sits up all by himself, hold his own bottle and he weaned himself off the breast. He's getting so big!

7 Months

We didn't have a doctor's appointment at 7 months but according to my scale Will weighed about 21lbs! He is still in #3 diapers and wears 9-12 month clothes. He is growing out of his clothes way too fast! He has learned to use his pinchers so I'm getting pinched a lot and I have to make sure the floor is extra clean...more than once I've caught him trying to eat bugs...I'm not sure where he finds them! He pulls himself up on everything...I say "no" more than I ever imagined! He also got to go to San Antonio, he finally started reaching for me when he wants me...which I love...and he started giving kisses which is just adorable!!!

8 Months

Will now weighs about 22 lbs, still wears #3 diapers and 12 month clothes! He continues to pull up on everything...people, the couch, the wall...anything he can reach. He walks around the coffee table and he has learned to carry toys with him when he crawls so there are toys everywhere!!! He is always making new sounds and faces. He likes to jump and bounce and he dances when he hears music...he dances a lot in church! He likes to stand and jump in bed so we had to lower his crib all the way...I can hardly reach him! He got to go to his first football game and he's been watching football with momma!!! He eats his baby food but he really just wants whatever we are eating. He is such a happy boy...he laughs all the time...it's crazy how much I love this boy!

3 Amazing Months!

I can't believe it has been 3 months since my sweet baby boy was born! Time has gone so quickly and he is growing so fast! He has kept me so busy that I haven't done a good job of keeping the house clean much less blogging! Hopefully I can catch up and do a better job of it!

1 Month

At one month William weighed 11 lbs and 6 oz and wore 0-3 month clothes. That first month we did lots of cuddling and took lots of naps on the couch together. I loved staring at that precious face as he slept in my arms.

Love that face!

So Sweet!

He loves bath time!

2 Months

Will weighed 13 lbs and 3 oz at his 2 month appointment and was wearing 3-6 month clothes. Lots of exciting things happened in his second month...at 6 weeks he started sleeping through the night!!! He sleeps between 8 and 12 hours every night...usually closer to 12! On March 7th we Baptized Will...it was a perfect day and we were so blessed to have so many family members with us on that special day.

3 Months

William now weighs 14 lbs and 13 oz! He is getting so big...he is already wearing 6-9 month clothes! He is growing way too fast! He is now smiling, laughing, talking and rolling over! He plays with his toys and I think he is teething! He puts everything in his mouth and he drools all over everything! He is so much fun and now that toys entertain him I actually get a little bit done around the house. I am loving my new job as a stay at home mom!!!

Snow...lots of snow!

I've always wanted a white Christmas and this year I got one! When I heard there was a chance of snow I was excited but I never thought we'd get so much. It started snowing Christmas Eve morning and kept snowing all day long. It was like nothing I had ever seen...we were actually under a blizzard warning which is just funny since we live in Texas! We spend most of the day pulling people out of ditches and getting Shelby and the kids from the lake. Once we finally got to Billy and Bec's it was nice to relax and enjoy Christmas Eve with the family...who would have guessed we would all be snowed in because of the 4 foot high snow drifts! We had a total of 1 foot of snow! On Jan 29th we got a small snow...this was William's first snow! A couple weeks later on Feb 11th we got another foot of snow and then another 6-8 inches on Mar 20. This has been a very unusual winter...I've seen more snow than I've ever seen in my life and I may never see this much snow in Texas again!

My 30th Birthday

I didn't think I'd enjoy turning 30 but I got the best birthday present ever...we got to take our precious baby boy home! It was so good to get out of that hospital and finally have William at home with us!

William David Henley

William David Henley was born on January 14, 2010 at 1823. He weighed 8 lbs and 9 oz and was 20 in long. It was a very long day for all of us. My water broke at 1100 just was we walked into the chiropractors office for Rusty's appointment. We left there immediately, got our stuff from the house and Rusty drove very quickly to the hospital. From the moment my water broke I was very concerned because it was meconium stained and I was worried about my baby boy. Being an ICU nurse I only see the worst and so that's what I was afraid of. We got to the hospital and I put on that lovely hospital gown and got hooked up the all the monitors then they started the pitocin. I began dilating quickly and the CRNA came in a started my epidural. She gave one dose and then repositioned the catheter and it never worked again. For those of you out there considering natural childbirth...I don't recommend it! After 2 hours of pushing William got stuck and his heart rate began to drop so Dr. Wilson used the forceps and got him out quickly. He came out limp, blue and not breathing at all and his heart rate was still dropping. Luckily the NICU team was there ready to go and immediately began working on him. After lots of deep suctioning and bagging for what seemed like an eternity (it was really closer to 2 min) my baby started breathing and I finally heard him cry...it was the most amazing sound ever! Then I finally got to hold my precious baby! It was a long, exhausting day that changed our lives forever but it was so worth it! God has truly blessed us with a perfect baby boy!
